How I Started My Photography Journey

Good Day,

First off I would like to thank anyone who is taking the time to read this. I appreciate your love and support.

This is basically how I started my journey into photography, and how it became an interest of mine. One day about 4 years ago I was sitting on a beach with a friend just hanging out. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. The beach was full of people soaking up the sun and swimming, with lot of laughs and smiles.

I looked towards the sky and seen a huge bird flying in circles. An eagle. All of a sudden he flies straight down towards the water. I thought he was going to hit, but at the last second he parallel with the lake feet dragging along the water. The next thing I knew he had a fish in the tightest grasp I had ever seen.

This had all happened in the matter of 30 seconds, but it felt like much longer. The only thought I had after I had seen that was "Man. I wish I had a camera!" After this day I started to think about photography. It is not a big story with lots of detail. It literally took 30 seconds and an eagle looking for his lunch to make me into the hobbyist photographer I am today.

I never really thought of photography as a hobby. I never thought I would be good at it. But I feel I am sort of good at it. Obviously I am not the best, nor do I try to be the best. I have a long way to go before I can consider myself a professional photographer. Right now it is just more of a hobby. I would like to start to be able to sell some prints, because I do believe I have a few good ones.

I have a long way to go with this and lots of experience to gain. But with the love and support from you guys reading this and anyone else. I know this will be a very fulfilling experience, filled with great memories and good times.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

- Kristi
